Our Mission

As an independent insurance agency, our mission is to provide a wide array of insurance products with the most competitive pricing. We dedicate ourselves to serve our clients with honesty, integrity, and professionalism. We endeavor to exceed the expectations of our customers with professional, ethical and personalized customer service. We will manage our business with a fiscal responsibility to ensure the financial strength and longevity of the agency. Our hope is that our mission will expand and improve the community, in which we work and live.

Our History

Caldwell & Langford Insurance was formed and the first policy of insurance was written in May of 1871. The first agent was a Confederate soldier who was also an attorney. The first company represented by the agency was Southern Mutual Insurance Company of Athens, Georgia. The contract was effective in 1898 and is still in force today. The agency has been operating under a continuous business license since 1871, which would make it Thomasville’s oldest licensed business. As independent agents, we directly represent approximately 30 companies and brokers with combined facilities on an indirect basis of over 100 companies.

Caldwell & Langford is a proud member of SecureRisk Insurance Solutions, an organization of nearly 100 independent insurance groups in Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. SecureRisk is a cooperative of insurance agencies that seek to bring the best possible insurance solutions to their customers by working together. This provides you, our client, with the personal one-on-one service of a locally based independent insurance group and the stability of the greatest and largest insurance providers around.
